CABINET COMMITTEE APPROVED 10% DEARNESS ALLOWANCE HIKE FOR CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES AND PENSIONERS
The Union Cabinet today approved to increase in Dearness Allowance by 10% to Central Government employees.
The rate of Dearness allowance shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 90% to 100%.
Revised rates effective from 1.1.2014.
Finance Ministry will publish detailed orders regarding this issue within this month.

we are eargly waiiting for merging of DA with basic pay of central government employees and pensioners.
Yes it is true It must be merged with basic pay of Central Government Employees and pensioners because from the Last pay commission Inflation is increased by almost 300% and DA increased only 100%. In this way It must be merged with Basic pay.
When we are getting the notification, we have to submit bill..
Pay Commission should immediately recommend President of India to declare merging of 50% DA to basic pay Central Govt. as well as State Govt. employees and pensioners with immediate effect keeping aside the National Assembly Elections.
