Extension of working hours of Central Government employees
|Extension of working hours of Central Government employees
While answering to a question in Rajya Sabha, Minister Shri Jitendra Singh said there is no proposal to extend the working hours beyond 40 hours a week for Government employees by making each or alternate Saturday a working day or sticking to the present 5 days week system with extended daily work hours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
And he also said, the 6th CPC had recommended continuation of the five day week with 40 hours of working in the offices of the Central Government.

Govt.of India has totally fogotten to extend 7th cpc benefits to autonomous bodies. In fact Government should recognise the sincere and dedicated working of central autonomous employees and their innovative ideas. Most of the organisations are self sustained long back and working six day week without comparing with other organisations. We never calculate the time ,and have a look of watch . we are just deeply involved in the assigned jobs and concentrating how to achieve the goal.
in one word I can say the autonomous employees are working like slaves without government’s recognisation . However , our aim is to develop the organisation By putting sincere efforts.
Since last four months, all the autonomous employees are in discontentment and also are greedily awaiting for extension orders . But,employees never expect that govt. of India will give such a empty vessel to autonomous employees.
Sir, now the main hindu festivals are also over, further we dont want to cheat our children regarding extension orders . Atleast now ministry of finance may kindly understand the discontentment of autonomous employees and release the extension orders before UP election code .
